Have a Balanced Posture
A straight spine with weight distributed evenly,straight shoulders ,no slouching or pressing down weight on one hip. are some of the best ways to a confident body physique.Keep sufficient space between your legs and  let your arms be straight if addressing  a party and open in case of public speaking.
Look Interested
Showing interest in the person indulged in communication is extremely important,Your gestures,face and eye movements show  deep interest in the person concerned.Do not turn your face apart or play with something say a pen .Lack of interest is sure to break communication
Maintain Eye contact
Eye contact shows interest.A continuous but polite eye contact is always an indicator of confidence.Turning eyes away while speaking or looking down can be damaging as it shows lack of interest and confidence.
Lean Slightly at times 
It is important to lean towards the other person rather than turning apart.It shows interest and confidence both.At the same time it will bring back your distracted audience who are loosing interest ,if any.However,balanced leaning rather than hopping is required.
Check your arms and shoulders 
Arms open and not crossed is a positive body language.Shoulders should be straight and not slouching.Further slouching is an indicator of  inactivity.Never cross your legs or keep hands folded in front of you.
Practice Mirroring
In negotiations or personal speaking its important to understand your audience.These people come from different cultural backgrounds . therefore better to  practice mirroring.Learn to understand the  expressions of people and respond in the similar manner.This generates trust in the other person.
Relax
Touching face repeatedly ,having frowns or a tensed expression will indicate nervousness.Keep yourself relaxed.People notice your expressions specially in situations that are awkward or challenging.Feel the pride that you can handle it all .
Don't Slouch:Behave Active
Lazy speaker  is unacceptable for an active listener.So,be active and alert rather than lethargic and lost in thoughts. This will help you to quickly notice the movements of your audience or opponents and take a lead.
Show a positive attitude
A positive attitude outnumbers negative ones. Overwhelmed ,stressed out,anxious expression is an indicator of insecurity.People love those who are always positive and find solutions rather than creating problems.
Smile costs nothing
A smile is worth millions.It is like a powerful weapon and you can even break ice with it.Let a curve of smile always rule your face and all will be set straight.

Have a firm Handshake
A firm handshake indicates warmth in feelings and strength in relationships.Be sure to have one when greeting someone.A weak or limp handshake is an obvious sign of lack of confidence.Be sure to have one when greeting someone.

Stop Fidgeting
Playing with something say a pen, danglers,tapping foot shows a lack of interest so avoid doing something that distracts and breaks communication.Show respect towards the person speaking and be participate.

Fast movements make you appear anxious so slow down your movements.Work smartly but not with a hither tether way.Make it your style and see the difference.

Walk with Authority
Confident people walk swiftly and with authority.Make larger strides and feel the difference in your attitude and mindset.It will further add a positive energy in you.

Don't Contradict your words
Remember your body communicates as well as your mouth.Don't contradict yourself.Always try and speak what you show.If you smile but shout and abuse it will never leave a positive impression.Be your inner self.

Your body language shapes who you are.It speaks louder than words.Words are just a part of communication process.What isn't said is more important It creates first impression for us.It comes in the form of mood,eye movements,gestures and postures and reveals our true inner self even before we start speaking.
